American LaFrance apparatus bell mounted as a presentation piece for a
retired fire chief on a golden oak wooden base. The bell is brass with
chrome plating and measures 12" in diameter. On the wood base it stands
27"+- . The wood base is 11" x 11". The bell is in excellent original
condition with a few signs of years of use on a apparatus. The ring is
excellent as usually is the case with the older bells and the thick brass
construction. This would make a very good piece for either a restorer,
collector, or ceremonial bell.
