Vintage Boston Brass Schoolhouse Fire Alarm Bell in working order. This antique bell has been restored and mounted on a vintage wooden base and wired up to function.

It is a "gong" type bell in other words it rings once every time the button is pushed. It is spring wound using the key as shown and activated by a 9volt transistor battery mounted under the housing.

The bell is a solid brass and 10 inches in diameter. The base is cast iron and the wooden mounting measures 16 inches x 24 inches.

It is marked "City Of Boston Schoolhouse Bell" in two places as seen in the photos. It is very loud and we can send a recording if requested.

This came from a "fire alarm" collectors auction. .
