Vintage American LaFrance Foamite Fire Engine Extinguisher in original
finish. This is a period soda acid extinguisher as Mfg. By the American
LaFrance & Foamite Corporation of Elmyra, NY. It stands 25 3/4" tall and is
approx 7" diameter. It has it's original chrome plating on the tank which is
in fair condition, the brass top was painted silver originally but now has
been cleaned and buffed. The inside glass acid bottle is missing. The
leather carrying strap is also gone but the clips are still there. The
original hose has been replaced. Re-Chrome plating will be required, if you
want it back to new condition.
