1800's style wood & forged steel fire department "Battering Ram". This is
a very unusual early forcible entry device. The only one I have ever seen.
It must weigh 40-50 lbs. It evidently was made in a blacksmith shop, it has
two blacksmith marks on the forges steel head. The handle has been repaired
a couple of times in its history as evident in the photos. It is approx. 33"
long. The forged steel head shows signs of use and was tapered for a
friction fit. This is "one of a kind" item.
